Linguistic Apparatus

The teaching of languages and particularly English is one of the LFB's priorities.

T he LFB has an innovative and highly efficient trilingual system at primary school. This system complies with the instructions of our guardianship and is supported by the local linguistic context. It leads to early and solid language learning, which quickly leads our students on the path to plurilingualism. This allows them to integrate Anglo-Saxon universities for their higher education.

The teaching of English goes from 3 hours per week in small sections to 5h30 in the fifth grade. In the first half of the year, pupils work in small competence groups and with reference to the common European framework for languages. In another half, they are placed in a concrete situation through the teaching of other subjects in English.

Indonesian is taught from the small section at a rate of 2 hours per week in half groups of levels, depending on the students' mother tongue and skills. Bahasa Indonesia's learning also takes place in other disciplines such as culture and arts or geography. It becomes a living language 3 compulsory from the 6th grade. In the second year it becomes a teaching of determination and can therefore be presented to the Baccalaureate as an option.

The teaching of Spanish is offered to pupils in early education and then becomes compulsory in modern language 2 from the 6th grade onwards. It is therefore submitted to the IBC for review.

At the college the arts are taught either in Spanish or English. In addition, Mandarin, Italian or German can also be studied using the CNED, which enables distance learning.

Lead our students quickly on the path to plurilingualism
