E
stablished since 1991 years on the island of Bali, it has constantly evolved to meet the growing demand for quality French-language education in Indonesia.
Approved by the French Ministry of National Education (MEN) and benefiting from a partnership with the Agence pour l' Enseignement Français à l' Étranger (AEFE), it enables all students, whether they are French or not, to attend school from the very beginning of their kindergarten years.
Open to the World, the school also offers education in English and Indonesian, and strives to prepare students for the World of Tomorrow beyond the recognized rigour of the French curriculum, by offering an international approach to better train future citizens.
The school welcomes students residing in Bali but also seasonal students who share their school time between Bali and another country. Today, the school has almost 350 students and continues to see its student population grow.
The LFB has spacious, functional, modern, air-conditioned premises with high safety standards and adapted to the needs of all pupils, from the smallest to the youngest adults.
Completed every year, it includes more than 10,000 books of all kinds in the 4 languages taught. A place of awakening for your child to the world of books, images, reading and discovery.
It provides first aid, assesses the state of health, assesses emergency situations and takes the necessary measures in the event of an accident. It also facilitates hygiene and prevention activities for students.
Being parents at the LFB is also an opportunity to take some responsibility for the operation of the school !
T
he school, unlike French schools in metropolitan France or the French Overseas Departments and Territories, is a non-profit association managed by a management committee made up of elected members, most of the time parents of volunteer students. This management committee ensures that the school's policy respects its mission and that the decisions made are financially viable.
It also has a Governing Board that is interested in educational and pedagogical issues and plays an active role in the organization of special events.
The school operates financially, in part through tuition fees, but it also provides grants for its development. Being homologated, it also benefits from a system of scholarships paid by the French government to parents who can benefit from it.
